Switching things up a bit

I'm starting to get bored with my quilt so decided I needed to give myself a little diversion.  I have decided to make a plastic canvas creation that will eventually go up for sale on my Facebook Page. I found a really cute pattern on the Internet for a bath set so have downloaded it and am going to start making it today.

I haven't worked with plastic canvas in a very long time but have all the supplies in the house needed for this craft.  This craft shouldn't take too long to make so I will be able to post something other than jewelry on my Facebook page for sale.  When I have completed this little project I will be sure to let you all know about it and will come back in to post pictures of the finished product.

Tiny setback on the quilt

Well as you all know I have been working on a quilt.  When this quilt is finished it will be up for sale on my facebook page.  Yes it is the quilt that is in the picture.

This quilt requires me to make 20 pattern pieces.  I have made eight so far and thought I was off to a real good start until I started looking at it a bit more quickly.  Well you can imagine my dismay when I noticed that five out of the eight blocks were not pieced and sewn correctly.  Anybody looking at the quilt would probably not notice this, but I did so I have to take some of it out.

This is precious time that I did not have to waste.  But I honestly couldn't put it up for sale with some of the blocks not set right.  So I will take out what I have to and then continue on with the quilt.  Oh well, these things happen.  I'll just have to play closer attention next time.

Some more work done on the Quilt

So yesterday I spent most of the afternoon working on the quilt.  I was able to get some more pieces cut out and sewn up some of the pattern as well.  These pieces in this picture show what the pattern is going to be like.  I have to make 20 sets of this pattern and right now I have six and a half made.  So I have quite a ways to go yet with this quilt.  But now that the craft room is finished and I can once again work in here I can see me finishing this quilt quite quickly.

When the quilt is finished it will be going up for sale on my Facebook page.  So get ready to see the final product as well as the price and the shipping charges.  I will continue to work on this quilt some more today and hopefully will be posting soon that it's complete.

Hopefull something new to post soon

Hello all!

I have not really been doing any crafting or even posting to this blog actually.  I have been super busy with some transcription work that all other activities have pretty much taken a back seat.  But now this is all set to change.  Yesterday I finished up my transcription work so am ready, willing and able to get back into the crating world once again.

Later today after I'm done on the Internet and have my housework completed I plan on getting back to work on my quilt.  I so... miss my quilting time and can't wait to get at it.  I plan on working on it a lot this weekend so am hoping I will have some more updated pics to post soon.

I miss crafting

I have been so busy these past few days that I haven't even picked up a needle or thread lately.  And you know what, I really miss it.  I not only create crafts to sell for a bit of profit but I also create as an outlet and a chance to wind down from every day life.  Well I haven't been able to have that opportunity lately and I'm really missing it.

I still have a pile of online work to finish up so I can't see me getting back into the crafting groove any time soon.  But as soon as I am finished with my transcription work, I plan on going right to town on my quilt once again.  I'd like to finish it and get it up for sale on my Facebook page.  But that isn't going to happen any time soon.

Hopefully I'll be able to post soon that I've finished my online transcription work and that I am back at doing one of the thing things in life that I really enjoy doing.

Not a lot of crafting going on these days

I have been so busy with other things lately that I haven't really been doing much crafting these days.  I have so many projects on the go that I would like to get done but have honestly been running out of time in my day.  I haven't really even had the time to write an posts in here lately.

But today that has changed.  I finished the online work that has kept me busy and have some extra time in my day to update the blog and to continue creating. I don't really have a lot to report at this time but am hoping that later on in the week I will have some of these projects worked on and can update you with some photos.

But I still do have some items available that are for sale on my Facebook page.  So if there's anything you see that you like, please feel free to let me know.  And if not, stay tuned.  There should be some new items up for sale soon.

Cleaning out the Craft Room

Well instead of doing any crafting today I will be spending the bulk of my day cleaning out the craft room.  Last week my husband purchased me an industrial shelving unit for my room.  He has it put together and placed in the room so now I have to start filling it up.

Since I have to clean up the room anyway I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for me to go through my stash and get everything organized.  I think once I do this the I will at least know what I have and know what I need.  Then when the room gets cleaned up I will be able to work in there quite comfortably.

So that is what is on the agenda for today.  Cleaning out the craft room so I can get it to the point where I will once again want to craft in there.
